I cant get the video to play, so I cannot comment on what you may think Jake Long is saying.

What I can comment on is Houston's own Sportscaster talk all the time about the Texans fans myth of Mario getting constantly double teamed. I am not saying he hasnt been on plays here or there. But teams DO NOT as a rule game plan for Mario Williams. NFL teams have not been changing what they do whenever they played the Texans over the last 5 years. Maybe Miami and Jake Long did this season. Well.. they are a bad team and maybe they had too. Until I am able to watch the video I wont know what he said and it wouldnt surprise me if you Texans fan take it completely out of context.


The Mario Williams game plan and double teaming has become an urban myth that was started by Texans fans to justify his #1 overall pick. Its very typical of Texan fans to overvalue their players.

Like I said... Mario Williams is a nice player. But he doesnt play complete games nor seasons. He is also hurt alot. Mario isnt Bruce Smith or Ray Lewis or Ed Reed or LT. Those are players teams gameplan for. There isnt one game in Texans history where he is taken over a game.


I have met Mario Williams and he is a solid citizen and a very nice guy. He gives alot of money to Law Enforcement and charity. I will be sad to see him leave the Houston community. But thats probably whats going to happen.

OK, now I have heard the interview... Typical Texan fan. You hear what you want to hear. NO WHERE in that clip did Jake Long say anything about double teaming or game planning. All Team study who they are facing and look at film. All players look at who they are going up against.

Do you guys even know what game planning means? Jake Long didn't say the Dolphins were devising an entire scheme to stop Mario. He just said a few nice things about him and said he looked at film. That's it. I am quite sure most teams that play the Texans look at film of Kevin Walter, but that doesn't mean they are " game planning " for him.

Plus.. keep something in mind... Most NFL players say nice things about the opposing team. It is just the unwritten rule. Most people take it with a grain of salt. But not Texan fans. You guys are soooo starved for attention you scanned the internet to find one quote about Mario. It doesnt even say what you think it says. WOW

What exactly do you think that means, that's not game planning? Notice how he said "we" and not just "he" as you somehow imagined you heard, which makes your statement on how Texans fans hearing what they want to hear that more hilarious.
