Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky INDIANAPOLIS - As expected, the Colts are playing safety-heavy on defense.

Free safety Antoine Bethea is stepping up to cover slot receiver Wes Welker in the nickel package, with Melvin Bullitt coming on to play as the safety opposite Bob Sanders.

New England's had two possessions so far, moving to a field goal, and have not seemed to try to exploit it.

Peyton Manning engineered a very nice drive to get the Colts up 7-0 moving his offense 91 yards in 15 plays with a nice balance - eight passes and seven runs.

While the Patriots may not have targeted anyone specific yet, it seemed like Indy did well to go after rookie cornerback Jonathan Wilhite, who Anthony Gonzalez beat on a 12-yard TD catch.
