Extra Point Rule Changed

I like, could make teams go for 2 more often.

 

Dumb.

There were much better alternatives... Like just getting rid of the PAT altogether. 7 points for TDs. If you elect to go for 2 and miss, it's 6 points. Make it and it's 8 points as always.

This will definitely have an impact on the game though. Succop will miss several PATs, so I hope we're all ready for that.

 

Its the 15 yard line, I don't think the fg percentages will fall that much.

I wonder what it was last year from the 15

 

personally I think it should be moved to the 15... AND the defense can choose which hash(or center mark) to place it on. this would bring the wind into play and could make extra points really clutch in certain situations

 

Something like 90% of field goals from the 15 yard line and good. I don't think this will make that big of a difference.

 

I will bet that there were at least 10 FGs missed from inside 33 yards. Probably a lot more than that.

There will be plenty of missed PATs this season.

The whole point of the original PAT was to give teams a gimme or have them take a gamble for 2. Now it's not a gimme FG, so it's not as big of a gamble to go for 2.

i would love to see them go to rugby style point after attempts.
