Having him return kicks told me all I needed to know about how the staff feels about him.

Think that was more about having one guy deep. Prepared for an onside kick. Perhaps Wright isn't apart of their "hands" team to be up at the line. I dont know
But I wouldn't immediately think it means they think less of him. Think it was more a ST thing.

How are you as a coach expecting a WR to buy into a run first offensive scheme?

Mariani was up on the hands team and so that is why Wright was back returning.

I understand, but there are other people on the team who are not our highest paid, longest tenured WR who could have caught the ball and ran for 4 or 5 yards.

Wright gonna walk. He has an inflated sense of self worth and is going to expect paper this offseason.

He had 1000 yards one time and has been able to rack up 18 TD in 5 years?

I would think the extra pay he's looking for is to cover the cost of the mechanical leg (or at least hammy) that he must have gotten while waiting to see action this year.

Kendall Wright averages 700-yards a year, thats 35 year old Steve Smith production

cant see anyone shelling out much more than $5M/yr for that kind of play
