I don't know a single level of sports where coaching staff doesn't favor players with experience, but to play along with the game that Fisher doesn't play young guys.

WR: Drew Bennett ... significant playing time as an URFA in his first season.

TE: Ben Troupe ... limited time as a rookie

OT: Mike Roos ... rookie starter

OG: Jacob Bell ... significant playing time as a rookie

C: Kevin Mawae ... first year starter as free agent

OG: Benji Olsen ... don't remember

OT: David Stewart ... no time as rookie, starter in year 2

H-Back: Bo Scaife ... significant playing time as a rookie ... 2nd year starter

QB ... Vince Young ... rookie starter

FB ... Ahmard Hall ... rookier starter

WR: Brandon Jones / Roydell Williams / Courtney Roby / all with significant playing time as rookies

DE: KVB ... first year starter as free agent

DT: Randy Starks ... rookie starter

DT: AVH Significant playing time as rookier ... starter in 2nd season

DE: Antwan Odom/Travis Laboy ... rookie starters

DE: Robaire Smith ... significant playing time as rookie

OLB: Keith Bulluck ... significant playing time as rookie

MLB: Stephen Tulloch ... rookie starter

OLB: David Thornton ... free agent first year starter

DB: Adam Jones ... rookie starter

DB: Rey Hill ... rookie starter

SS: Chris Hope ... free agent 1st year starter

FS: Lamont Thompson ... free agent 1st year starter

NB: C. Finnegan ... rookie starter

DIME: V. Fuller ... significant playing time before injury in first season.

I know ... its not fashionable to acknowledge that most of the guys on the team have played from early in their first season with Titans. And no doubt injuries play a part in their opportunities. But the bottom line is that 11 of the 24 positions, not including Rob Bironas and Craig Hentrich, both rookie free agent starters, all started some or all of the games in their rookie seasons. But, believe what you want. Its all bad on Fish and all good on Floyd.

thompson was not a first year starter. he played the nickle and dime, shulters was the starter.

most of those guys were forced in to action and half of those guys are hardly young..

It depends how many were a result of injuries.

    Jacob Bell was, Reynaldo was.

Let's conveniently leave out the players that don't fit the mold and not mention that some of these players only got playing time (and starts) BECAUSE OF INJURIES, which is the entire point.

And I really don't see how FA signings have any bearing on the conversation...

What position did I leave out?

And free agents are relevant, because it is proof that the best player ... who is least likely to make a mistake ... play.

False, free agents are proven, that is the argument. Unproven players not getting the chance, that's the argument...

BS............Bulluck was buried for two yrs behind Favors and Fish only benches vets when they get hurt...............that is the crux of the argument and always has been...............just look at the nightmare he created with Collins Volek and VY...................only reason VY got in is because the lockeroom demanded it given Collins play..............Collins should have never been brought here for 3.5 mil................Code you are so off base here it is funny.............................Bell only got to play because of a torn bicep..............Look at Stewart and Loper............never saw the field when last yr our OL blew chunks

    Ridiculous

Tony Brown was proven? Bo Scaife was proven? Jason Fisk? Hell, for that matter Fast Starting Freddie Miller? Lamont Thompson?

I don't think so ... we are loaded with young talent .... that is playing early ... probably too early ... because of the talent drain over the past five years.

Bongo ... they are ON THE FIELD ... you can editorialize ... but the truth is simply the truth ... Fish has loaded the field with 1st - 3rd year starters ... injuries provide opportunity ... and its up to the guys to get on the field and earn the spot ... VY, Hall, Jones, Hill, and all the others ... I'm not off base on this ... its just not what you want to hear.

Which doesn't mean I don't love you like a brother. But check the line-up card. Its not how they got there ... its that they got there.
