Right. In fact, his quickness is his biggest weakness even at guard.

 

No, we need a tackle more than a guard. If we sign a true tackle first then we can start playing with guys at new positions. Lev might actually be a decent rt but we need a guy that plays the position in place first.

 

Or we could just get Mathis, draft a RT in the 3rd, cut Levitre after June 1st, and pick up another RT in that time period and let them battle it out for the job. Then at Center have a mid-late round pick battle it out with Schwenke.

 

I would love to trade for Mathis. He may only have 2 seasons or so left but he's still playing at a high level. With our luck we would trade a 5th and he would come in and play like Steve Hutchinson though. At this point I would do almost anything to see Levitre off the team.

 

Mathis has got plenty left in the tank. I wouldn't be surprised to see him play well for another 5 years. He's in tremendous shape and really works hard on his fitness/health.

 

Offer the Eagles a 6th this year and a conditional pick (6th next year). BAM!!! New starting LG and instant upgrade for the OL. This is a no-brainer. We can get a mid-late rnd pick this year or next year to start developing behind Mathis. In the meantime, we build a really good line for now and the future!!! If we want an offense, we need LG and RT to be improved...NOW!!!

 

How about bringing in C Stefen Wisniewski? He can start and then we can let LeVitre and Schwenke battle it out for LG

Draft a RT or bring in Barksdale, maybe kick the tires on Jake Long and see if he would like to form a bookend Michigan Tackle combo!
