ELI5: Why is Luck Considered a great QB?

I used to say he was overrated, but he is actually really good now.

 

For as good as he is, I still think the media over rates him. Saying "future Hall of Famer" in conjunction with his name, at this point in his career, is over rating.

Hall of Fame is likely going to dictate a SB victory in there somewhere (I know there are exceptions to the rule) and stats alone probably won't get him in since he is not the dominant QB Marino was in his time. No player should have that statement thrown to them within their first 6 years in the NFL.

 

The future hall of fame stuff is a joke but hes still a borderline top 5 QB in the game. Luckily they have one of the worst owners in the league so who knows if they can get a halfway decent team around him.

 

ESPN loves them some neck beard.

 

I'd take him over Stafford Ryan Big Ben pretty easily right now. And I think you could make a serious argument for Carr.

Stafford and Ryan are having MVP type seasons right now.

Seriously, what is going on in this thread? Has anyone watched any football this year?

 

I think I'd take Ben over Luck. Agree on Carr, still need more body of work. Ryan and Stafford are a toss up.

 

I think Cousins is too. Unfortunately their record isn't quite as good.
