I know in the NFL it's the elbow, not the hand that makes a player down.

Also... I haven't heard this argument from anyone else - and it is SO blatant.

Also, the Refs were from the Big Ten from what I heard.

Appearantly all it takes is the wrist to make contact with the ground for the runner to considered down... to me it looked like Dyer's wrist touched, but at the end of the day... who cares?? it's the SEC, they do nothing wrong.

That's right, according to the veteran Big 10 ref, he did nothing wrong...:ha:

Oh crap...the curtain as been pulled back exposing the complicit coercion between the SEC and the other conferences and their officials. Dang...it was a good run.

This is pathetic...the hate for the SEC by some people is almost reaching the level of bile spew of the VY and Fisher hate...almost.

Got an idea on how to fix it...put a team on the field that can win. Odds are the SEC cannot keep this up...but would not be surprised. But looking for reasons why Auburn should have lost as opposed to pointing to why Oregon did not win is pretty petty at this point.

But, if it makes you feel better...

What do conference officials have to do with it??

Ohhhh I get it... These Big 10 refs were terrible when UT lost, but now that an SEC team you're coat-tailing benefits, "who cares??"... gotta love it.

    Incorrect.

It's a hand in the NFL. You can't put your hand down to keep yourself up after contact.

The reason I questioned this play at first was because the Eagles a few weeks back had a player ruled down due to touching the ground after being hit. He would have fumbled otherwise.

Oh come on, you're not too dense to see the point being made. Big 10 fans crying that the SEC wins championships because there's a conspiracy that includes ref's making bogus calls in order to help them win. If it was a SEC ref that might help the conspiracy claims, except it wasn't.
SEC won another, yet the Big 10 is better. Wow.
