That's silly. You go after the QB every damn play and you hit them as hard as you can when you get a chance.

Not only did you come out an accuse us of something that happened YEARS ago, but you are basically condoning it because you never brought it up since then.

If you are a player in the NFL and you know that certain players are protected by the refs and the league, such as brady and manning, how else do you get your guys motivated to hit them? Hell, for all we know.. This bounty was in place to pay back the players for when they have to pay these huge fines for hitting the QB

Hell, I would have pitched in on the $$$ myself. If we did, we (the Titans) were not very good at it. We hardly ever hit panty.

 

Talked to my pops and he said this has been going on for a long time.

You'd get an x amount for a knock out (of the game).
And an X amount for a cart off.

 

I am curiously alright with us paying our guys extra for hitting Peyton Manning/Tom Brady/Drew Brees/etc. but what rubs me the wrong way is the fact that you got more money to injure them. It's okay to hit the guy and play after the whistle but you should never go into a play with the intent trying to hurt someone.

 

I agree. This breaks so many rules of common ethics in the workplace. Yes, the NFL football field is a workplace. I understand that the No Fun Leauge has made this game soft with a lot of their rule changes and I am all for seeing big hits that happen during or after the whistle, but as soon as you have intent to cause bodily harm, you crossed the line. It's not only a violation of ethics but it's just bad sportsmanship too. If Blaine says there was no bounty, then I will believe him.
