Coming off a poor performance in the season opener, it's hardly a hot topic. But consider how unique the Peyton Manning-led attack is and it kind of reminds you how the good old days of cool nicknames for NFL units seems so long ago.
Tony Dungy was asked this week if he ever wonders why the offense doesn't have a name. He played the small market card.
"No, I think that's part of us being in Indianapolis and maybe being a little bit of a small-market team and it's probably pretty good," he said. "I don't think our guys would want a name. We just try to stick with what we do and do it and it hasn't proliferated and we're a little happy about that. Maybe we are the only ones that do what we do."
I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you wanted to offer up any suggestion, however.
