The Titans dropped their second straight preseason game here on Saturday night against the Bengals, in part because of some costly drops.

Receiver Nate Washington let a catchable ball go off his hands as he headed toward the end zone, and later receiver Kenny Britt let a ball go off his hands.

Rookie tight end Jack Doyle let a Jake Locker pass bounce off him as well.

“It hurt us a lot because we had to settle for field goals, and we missed a couple of those tonight,’’ Coach Mike Munchak said. “So that’s what I’m saying about being frustrated; you thought there was enough there and then when you don’t finish drives like we didn’t in the first half, it makes it frustrating for the whole team. We could have had 21 points on the board and felt a lot better about it.”

In practices, Britt has made some spectacular catches. He’s also had some drops.

“He has to catch the ball, he knows that,’’ Munchak said of Britt. “All of the receivers do, that is something they work on every day.”

Munch needs to start Preston in the next preseason game instead of Britt. Just to send a message.

Preston doesn't look God Almighty either..

Seriously wouldn't shock me if Preston gets cut.
