    WTF??

    I mean, WTFF?
I'm so sick to death already about hearing about this idiot trying to remain in the news with his stupid "retirement" antics... some people just don't know when to go home, do they?

I tend to think that some of these guys- like this one- suddenly freak out when they realize that they're no longer relevant, and have to have media coverage to console themselves.

Maybe he could do some Oxy Clean commercials.... I've had enough of Billy Mays...

Favre has never struck as the type of player that needs media attention. Maybe he does, and I have just been able to overlook that, but this sounds more like someone who just can't let go. He loves certain things about the game - the excitement of game day, the enthusiasm of his fans, the camaraderie with his teammates, etc... But if he takes this $20 million buy off, then it really does paint him in a negative light. If all he cares about is actually playing, he should refuse that offer and force the Packers to trade or release him.

I heard them talking about the $20 mil buy out in 104.5 this morning and as usual Mark Howard sounded like a retard. Howard said Favre is considering it because after all he needs to think of his future and his family and with this he would be set for life. What? First of all Favre needs the money probably like one of us needs hemroids. He should have plenty already and if he pushes the issue and plays he will get paid 10 mil or more per year anyway. IMO Favre has passed the point of no return and if he does anything besides let the Packers trade him so he can play another year or so he is a complete moron. He made a stink beyond belief so far he might as well play somewhere now.

Also, the Packers should simply trade him to the highest bidder even if the highest bidder is the Bears or Vikings and be thankful that they actually got a decent draft pick for a guy who they thought was retired.

Favre looks terrible if he does take the buyout. It looks like he just came back for the money, and then we he found out he would not have to play, je just took the money and run.

I agree if they can get a big pick from the Bears they should take it. Even with Favre, I don't think the Bears could contend. However, if Favre goes to the Vikings, they should probably win the division. It would be devastating to the Packers to see Favre win the divison, for the Vikes.

The offer came from the Packers. Which in my opinion was stupid because they know this is not about the money. It's about playing football. So what was the point of it.

That said, if it works and he takes the bite I will eat my words. But the whole idea was stupid in my opinion. Whoever came up this idea ought to be on probabtion. Brett Favre doesn't need money as far as I can tell. It just looks in poor taste.

I hope he is allowed to play. And if he is, all of this will be forgotten.
