I couldn't care less how many backs are over 6'1 when it's irrelevant to the discussion of being GOOD.

sure it helps if you can hide behind your line, but its better if you can just run thru the opposition because youre simply bigger

I find it funny that people say that Henry had a great OL at Bama, this past season was by far the worst line Saban had ever had there and the OL let defenders penetrate to where no RB would have escaped being hit by 2-3 guys before reaching the LOS almost as much as the Titans line did at times. The OL at Bama was solid but nothing approaching the level they've had in the past.

 

It was still a good line but nothing compared to 2011 or especially 2012. Everyone complains about Henry running through a hole on a highlight but don't see how many times he's stuffed in the backfield because defenses are crowding the line against an OL that's not the same as the "Bama gives big holes all the time to their RBs" stereotype. The strategy against Bama was try and shut Henry down, make Coker beat you. Coker still could've played better and Henry still got his numbers.
