    I can't recall a famous person's death that touched me in the way Bowie's has. There's been no contemporary music icon I respect more.

    He was the best.

    I honestly wasn't a fan but I respect his contributions to the craft, particularly as one who does art for art's sake...I think it's as easy to refer to him as a performance artist as to refer to him as a musician.
