with such efforts for offensive playmakers, and by downplaying the possibility (tennessean article i think) of following history w/ respect to the 1st round...with all those recievers that we did bring in...how come we didnt bring in jackson...

  2. Doesn't really mean anything. Teams can avoid bringing in players just to make it look like they aren't interested.

we didn't draft a single player we had in last year for a visit.

    it means nothing.

The combine is probably where most of the meaningful "visits" take place anyway.

imo thats not really a good stratagy....i mean u try to help ur self first an above all...ranther than try to play tricks on other teams....but yeh they prob did meet at the combine or something.....i think u gotta personally check out ur potential picks

why is that not a good strategy?

it seems like we use the visits to cross people off the list than we do to insure that we want to take them.

either way, it eliminates guys from the pool and narrows down the field.

usually teams bring in guys that they have some questions about or are just overly interested in- we may have seen enough of Jackson on film and at the combine to complete our scouting on him...
