The above leaves me with 56 players. I expect one (or more) of these players ** to be cut or traded. The list includes LenDale White, Crumpler or Scaife (Crump more likely), the ***** player that doesn't earn a return job, Mawae, Amano, or Kearse. There will be quite a returner competition with Davis, Jones and a few of the drafted/undraftees this year. With the somewhat likely addition of a vet CB for quality depth, more of these guys could be cut.

Also keep in mind, I have 8 players listed as PS (Practice Squad) and I think you only get 5 spots. Competition for the last 5-6 spots on our roster and for the practice squad iis gonna be BRUTAL.

I don't see us cutting Jevon Kearse.. If anything, his sentimental value is too high. Thats like dumping an Atari to make way for a new PS3.

I believe Gut also forgot to include Leroy Harris in his unedited post. I made a smart comment about it, too late. So instead of looking foolish, I just said Oops.

 

Nice analysis. A few things I see differently. I think we will have a RB on the practice squad, probably Rafael Little. I don't see us having 0 RB's but 3 WR's on the PS.

If we had a more "cuthroat" Front Office I'd agree with Mawae possibly being cut. Although that would seem strange with him coming off a probowl year. There's no way I could see the Titans FO, and Jeff Fisher in particular cutting Mawae. I believe the playoff game showed that Leroy Harris is ready but I think the Titans want to let Mawae finish out his contract. I'm not sure he's necessarily better than Harris at this point anymore, but hard to say without seeing Harris play more.

I think Fowler will make the team because of his size. McRath looks like a nice player but seems a little small to be even a backup MLB in the titans system. Then again Tulloch only weights 235 but he is built more like a bowling ball.

Who is this guy and how did we get him?

It looks like he is wearing a GB jersey at NFL.com, but they have him as Broncos in '08.
