Does anyone here have experience building mobile apps? Im considering starting up an app for my company but dont have much knowledge in the app department. I use them all the time on my phone and ipad, but never created one. Is it similar to a website? Ive built one of those before and understand that side of the interwebs, but app building is uncharted waters for me. Any advice would be appreciated..
There might be, but I was hoping for some insight before diving in and screwing this up. Our company does have an IT guy we use, but he's away on other business, he doesn't work directly for us.
I've have a couple ideas for simple games and have done some research. There are tools you can buy online that range in complexity from cut and paste minor coding to serious coding. An app for the Constanza Coat Company shouldn't be that difficult. Go for it.
Nope. It ain't hard. I'm going to make a game. http://coronalabs.com is a simple start. Gamesalad is tard level simple. There are others too.
You'd have to learn the language Objective-C to develop for apple, Java for android. I know about 4 different programming languages, but I have not touched Objective-C yet. Gamesalad is a game engine and is complete garbage.
My friend is a web developer and he's currently learning how to develop apps. He bought a book off amazon and it is basically how he's learning to do it.
