Crazy Defensive Idea

Byrd is a natural free safety -- a ballhawk. Not that the Titans don't need one of those, too, but I think most of us agree that, assuming Griffin has to be on the field (ugh), he should be the FS and the SS should be upgraded.

IMO, Brown would be nearly useless in a 3-4 system. That's not an insult.. Keith Bulluck would be the same. They aren't the "take on the Offensive Tackle" type players.

I argue that McCarthy is mostly useless either way. Can't be doing much if you're the porcelain man out there on the field.

Ayers would be great as a 3-4 OLB, I think.

We gotta go after one of the free agent safetys this year. Draft a second round MLB. Take a DT or DE in the first. Or go Te'o if he's there and grab a DT/de in the second.

I don't care. Get rid of Griffin at any cost.

I would have tried it two games ago, but Zach Brown is coming into his own now at LB. He had 10 tackles and 2 sacks last week at LB.

I don't tinker with good players.

Put Zach Brown at ILB with McCarthy, and Ayers and Wimbley outside.
Doing this frees up your best players to move around and make plays.
