    3.5M in 15

    thats 10.4M in salary...so 4.6 is probably his bonus or bonus + incentives...regardless 46% of his money is in year 3 and 4 at which he could probaby easily be released....

    not to worried about this deal sucking a lot out of our cap space.

    Not bad at all. How bad does it effect our cap if we were to cut him after 2012? Just the signing bonus pro-rated over the last 3 years? The base doesn't count right? Or does the full amount of signing bonus count against this season only?

    The way it works is this signing bonus counts $1.15M per season.

    Against the cap (base+SB):

    2013: $2.15M
    2014: $3.65M
    2015: $4.55M
    2016: $4.65M

    If he's cut at the end of the 2014 season, the pro-rated bonus which remains must be paid immediately ($2.3M) and goes against the 2015 cap.
