Yes I know you are a MAC fanboy but really right click vs 2 fingers and click and that is not hard? That is the stupidest thing I've ever seen.

there just a few key combos to learn on the keyboard really.

I earn my wages working with windows and know how to keep it running smoothly. The average user screws up their install pretty quickly through daily use.

The average Mac user isn't installing a ton of apps that come with toolbars and other crap. It's harder for a Mac user to go wrong.

I never acted like there are tons help forums for Mac while none for Windows. I said there are tons of help forums for Macs. You know... the product that "just works".

Don't get caught up in your own bias cloud and ignore that I'm fair. Windows isn't any better. Mac just isn't a product that "just works" much better. Not for the price, at least.

As far as them fixing problems- Apple is known for charging ridiculous amounts to fix their faulty products. Usually hundreds of dollars. They probably give you cool free stickers, though.

IF you also bought THEIR mp3 player. The iPod... which is total overpriced crap compared to it's competitors.

So if you bought an actual good mp3 player. Or...media player, other than a "strictly iTunes player because we want to take every penny you have" player, you're out of luck.

Oh wait... you can convert your entire iTunes library by clicking on each individual track and converting them by using some hidden feature that iTunes really doesn't even want you to know about. This takes about 10 seconds per track, so I hope you've got a lot of time on your hands... over a gig of music is going to make you cancel your plans for the night.

    That's user friendly!

    no, it's not hard
all kinds of functions take place with multiple fingers on the trackpad nowadays.it's called multi-gesture, and everybody is now trying to copy it and you have always been able to CONTROL+CLICK
people have been complaining about the lack of a right click on everything Apple related for years .... it takes about 30 seconds to get passed it

there's no button at all on the new trackpads
that would really mess you up
OMG !! NO LEFT ? NO RIGHT CLICKIES WTF DO I DO
    pfffft

read what I post. I said you can set the trackpad to enable right click !!

if you can't handle putting a finger on the trackpad and clicking, it's amazing you're able to find your way to this site

and this ONLY applies to laptops

    convert it to what ?
the only thing you should need to convert to is AAC
    and that's not necessary

and why do you feel the need to click each individual track ?
    EDIT - SELECT ALL

All for a product that was already out... and even better already... but not with the 'cute' factor.

You can actually select all... however, it still needs to convert every individual track to mp3- whereas they could just simply use a media format like the rest of the world...

That'd be too convenient though. And probably take money out of their pockets. Heaven forbid!

Why would I need to convert it?

Because I refuse to use a POS iPod.

if Gunny and Gloat don't like Mac's, that's cool
this isn't a Mac vs PC debate
the OP wanted to know whether he should get a MB or a MBP
    leave it at that
let the OP decide for himself
