As good as Shipley was in college, to say that we'll regret not taking him is laughable.

Not to say that he doesn't have a chance of being a good WR in the league, just don't think we're gonna lose any sleep over not taking him.

I said the same thing about Limas Sweed a few years ago. I'm not even a huge Texas fan, just thought he would be really good.

Shipley is already penciled in as Cincy's slot.. He'll probably get alot of catches but not too much to write home about. Chad will look better for is effort though..

We drafted special teams guys in later rounds. We'll be ok without Shipley helping them.

Williams absolutely sucked in the national championship game. How many balls did he drop? I don't agree with the hyperbole of the post. Shipley isn't the best college wr ever.... but I think Shipley will be a lot better pro than most think. He just has a knack for getting open and never drops anything. Also, he is a good punt returner. He could have a career like Derrick Mason but then who knows, he could be a bust. Wide receivers are like QBs. You just never know.

Oiler fan since 1974...Texas fan since I graduated from there in 2003....

    say no more.

Hopefully all the "Texas fans" will leave the Titans once Vince does.

To counter the one post that said Shipley was old for the draft. No, 24 is not old especially at a position where players produce into their mid 30s.

It could be that Shipley's experience gives him an edge early in his career and he produces faster.
