    Verner says the "cushion" everyone keeps talking about isn't cushion. It's that the LB's aren't covering that well, that's their zone.

    Honestly, it makes sense. The Packers were doing the same thing last night. OLBs/DL would blitz and the CBs backed off. Leaving the ILBs to handle the flat/curl zones up the middle. Hawks did a good job on it...

    Regardless, would it kill you to step up 3 yards? No reason to be 10 yards back.

    In the first half, I thought the scheme worked well as long as the CBs put a hand on the receivers at the snap and could cover for a few seconds.

    This Sunday, I place a safety deep on whichever side AJ is lined up and have the other safety favor the same side but, at least, play in the same zip code as the LOS.

    Without a pass rush, nothing will work in the secondary.

    I just hope they put Verner on Andre. McCourty hasn't been able to cover the other team's #1 so far. Verner looked good covering Calvin Johnson the 1st half.
