Confused with our secondary

    Hey we made some great tackles today against the lions.

    However, i was kinda confused with our coverage. Throughout the game, the commentators highlighted that we had 2 deep safeties for almost every play. This let Megatron gain good 15-20yd chunks almost every pass that was thrown to him. Now I noticed this in our first two games as well. Whats the deal? We almost always have solid defense when we don't drop into this type of coverage, forcing 3 and outs and such, so why are we always playing this ridiculous cover 2?

    are we that paranoid that were gonna get burned every play? can anyone explain this?

    It says a lot today that between 3 QBs, Lockers 70% accuracy was the worst of any of them.

    did you watch the first 2 games?

    I must have missede the 3 and outs and such...

    The 2 shell would be easier too watch if the TItans had a S that would make the WRs pay for catching those 15-20 yard chunks. 'the Vagician' is now 'le Vagician' because he absoutly refused to defend any ground.

    Griffin is a pathetic S and I suspect he likes fish sticks ...

    During the first half, we were jamming the piss out of their wr's.

    2nd half started, and we started playing db's 10 yards off and safeties 25-30 (lol...) yards down field...and they started lighting us up. no beuno.

    GOT, Family Guy stole your "vagician". I couldn't fkin believe it when I heard it lol.

    That Jake Locker obviously needs to step his play up because only completing 70% of your passes in the NFL is unacceptable and I'm mortified Rusty Smith is not starting for us right now.

    Our pass defense sucks.

    Seriously, if your QB is completing 70% of his passes and that's the worse of 3 QBs that day and they all had over 170 yards passing. Your pass defense sucks.

    That's on Gray. Every time I see our DBs play so far off of the WRs at the line it drives me crazy, I HATE when we do that. We're just asking to get lit up when we do that. Verner is my hero, dude made the smartest, toughest, most awesomest football play I've ever seen on that TD strip.

    I think Gray was too afraid of Megatron running right past us that he placed the safeties in our own EZ on every play. That also made Leshure look likke a good RB, only playing 7 defenders and the last 4 protecting the goal line.
