Going down to Nashville with my dad Tuesday for training camp (even though he's a Colts fan)

and coming down Friday and Saturday for just a break from this town. Going to see Toad The Wet Sprocket at Mercy Lounge on Saturday. How is the place?

And are tickets usually available at the door or should I get them from ticketmaster? Not that I expect Toad the Wet Sprocket to sell out, but I'd like to make sure before I get there.

I'm pretty pumped for both trips, even though It's 8 hours of transit this week. It's been too long since I've been to a concert.

They usually do tickets at the door but they are a bit more expensive (like no more than 5 dollars). The Mercy Lounge is a cool spot to hear music and to drink (if you're into that sort of thing). They have pool tables in the back if you just want to hang out afterwards or shoot the ____ beforehand.

I hope you have a good time in Nashville, bro.

Great. Thanks. I have a gig that day until 5:30 so I'll have to high-tail it there for the 8:30 show, leaving on saturday now (somebody saw the facebook status and reminded me about the gig...whoops) and staying overnight til Sunday evening. I usually can make it to Nashville in 2 hours, but I'd like to get there well in advance and make sure I catch the opener, whatever he ends up being like.

    BTW: 3,500th post!! woohoo.

    Thanks.

This WAS going to be my first free weekend since early November last year, 'til I got the text about the gig I forgot about...

I've been to Nashville a million times, but never been to BB King's. How is it there? I've started to play more bluesy stuff and it might give me some inspirado.
