    That's awesome if the defensive staff is great but they really aren't getting great results. I'm sure it is a joint effort but the new variable was Lebeau so I'm going to give him the majority of the credit. If Horton was so great as a DC we wouldn't have had to bring a HoF DC to oversee the defense. Horton can leave for all I care.

    How do you know what the new head coach is going to want? I'm sure most coaches wouldn't hate the idea of Dick Lebeau as a coach on their staff but that is assuming 1. Dick wants to coach for the newly hired head coach 2. We are running a 3-4 defense still. 3. The new head coach wants dick as his coordinator. Gase turned down the 49ers job cause he wasn't allowed to pick his own defensive coordinator.
