ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. Titans middle linebacker Colin McCarthy (ankle) won’t play today against the Bills. It will be the fourth game he’s missed after suffering a high-ankle sprain in the season opener on Sept. 9.

McCarthy did not practice this week and wore a walking boot on his right foot.

He was on the field here at Ralph Wilson Stadium doing a kettlebell workout with strength and conditioning coach Steve Watterson a couple of hours before kickoff. He was not wearing the walking boot.

Zac Diles is expected to replace McCarthy in the lineup.

Diles held it down last time he was called on. As much as I like McCarthy, I don't think he'd be much of a factor this game. Better to have him rest up and get back to 100%

Not much anyone can do when one of the fat guys on the field rolls up on your ankle.

Well, obviously he wouldn't be any good out there if he's hurting bad enough to miss the game. He wasn't himself last week either.
