Clements or Samuel?

I voted for Asante. I don't see why we can't get either one of them. If you need something and you have the money to get it, then why don't you go after it? If we don't make a major push to get one of them then Reinfeldt isn't much of an improvement over Reese...

 

The word is Samuel will be cheaper than Clements... Clements has been to 2 pro bowls. Clements is bigger. He is more physical.

If I had my choice, Samuel is my guy... He is almost a clone of Pac.

 

I doubt Samuel is any cheaper. Either is an upgrade over Hill; so it doesn't really matter to me. If I had my pick I'd take Samuel, but we need to get one of them.

 

Players are going to be more willing to sign with us now that they see how much we've improved and what our team can turn into. VY is a big plus.

 

If that's the case, we have no excuse not to sign Samuel, I think he's the better of the two, but every playoff game I watched I felt like I was watching his price tag go up.

 

You can never have too many players with dreads.

 

I think Samuels gets beat deep too often, if you watched NE play through the year, you saw samuels get the picks, but he also gives up quite a few big plays. With that being said, I agree that both of these guys would be upgrades, and I think you go after whichever is available/ or cheaper.
Incidently, everything I've seen has Clements being the more expensive of the two, he's bigger, stronger, has played more man 2 man coverage, and is only a little older. We won't know until they hit the market (assuming both hit the market).
