No sir, that would be the present.

    As far as Oilers81:
You are delusional. You sit around yapping about the great defense of the Cows when I've pointed out multiple times that the Cow defense hasn't done squat against legit offenses. You also keep saying delusional things like, "We keep losing all these players that we had last year and the year before when we were mediocre but we keep winning!" And then I point out that you aren't really playing anybody.

I don't have much crap to talk. Yes, they have been historically not good. But not many expansion teams have a division rival that can count most every season as an automatic AFCS champion like the Colts have for the past decade, thanks to Manning. That stunts the chances of a playoff berth pretty significantly. In a weaker division, they would have made it multiple times, (and so would we)

Colts are always good (til this year) Titans are good probably half the time, Jags are good some of the time. It hasn't been a nice division for an upstart franchise.

We haven't done much since 2002 either, Manning hurt all 3 of our teams during his run,

and quite frankly they beat the crap out of us earlier this year at home. The only crap I have to talk is about how the Titans laid an egg when they had a chance to take the division by the balls, and allowed Houston to walk all over them, up and down the field. The image of Griffin getting just schooled by Foster is ingrained in my mind. That was the most depressing game I've ever been to.

After that embarassment, I have no crap to talk until the Titans can at least be consistent.

We have all shared the misfortune of having one of the winningest QBs ever in our division for the past 12 years or so. When we got our chances in the playoffs, we blew it and showed our Charger like ability to bumble and fumble away our upper-hand. We'll see what the Texans do with it.

I'd root for em over the Steelers. But that's not saying a whole lot.

its been a long while since the Titans were consistent.

There has been an obvious lack of professionalism by the a large group of players. All they are concerned with is their next deal instead of the next game. Most of them were butthurt when FR allowed a large group of their buddies presue other oppertunities. Have too purge that attitude from the lockeroom and it is done one malcontent at a time. I really hope CF comes too his senses and resigns, but if not then so long and take your attitude with you. For the guys under long term deals it will be interesting too see if CJ acts like a pro for the first time this offseason.

A nice, quiet offseason from CJ and others would be a welcome sight, for sure.

Hasn't done squat against a legit offense? Held the Falcons to 10 points, the Falcons scored 30 against Seattle on the road, 23 against Detroit on the road, 31 against Carolina on the road. Beat the Bengals at home last week by holding them to a lot of field goals and keeping them under 20 points, they put up 24 and 34 on Baltimore and the Seahawks respectively, and 30 on the Jaguars.

The Texans basically held the Ravens and Saints for 3 quarters of the game, then they gave up a lot of points in the 4th quarter, both of those games were at the other teams home field, both of which are VERY difficult places to win, more than half the points the Saints put up were in the 4th. The Raiders have been putting points up on teams before they lost their starting QB, they then hit a rough patch.

As far as the players, the defense isn't just playing with the SAME players it had last year, but then I wouldn't really expect you to know that. Mario was hurt most of the season and played through it, Conner Barwin was out for the season, Cushing was suspended, no Jonathan Joseph, no Daniel Manning, no Demeco Ryans, no Wade Phillips, and the list goes on for defensive injuries. So, regardless of how much you THINK you know, you really have NO DON'T KNOW ANYTHING if you think the same guys are playing on defense this year as last year. The Texans basically added an All Pro corner, a Pro Bowl safety, a pro bowl OLB in Barwin, another pro bowl LB with Cushing who was either suspended or MIA most of last season, a pro bowl LB in Demeco Ryans, and a defensive coach that has decorated history of turning defenses around..... Yeah, your right, it's the same old group of people.... who am I trying to kid?!

Yeah, the Ravens, Saints, and Raiders were legit offenses. You're going to bring up the Falcons putting up 30 on the Seahawks? Really? And the Panthers? We scored 30 against the Panthers. Jesus, you're dumber than I thought you were.

And the Bengals? They scored once against the Steelers the week before. They barely squeeked by the Browns. Whoop-dee-doo.

"But we only gave up points to legit offenses in the 4th quarter!" You're right, no one cares about the 4th quarter. Those points don't count.

Also, you seriously need some reading comprehension skills. Like, 2nd grade level I imagine. My comment wasn't solely on the defense. My comment was that the folks you've been losing were there when you weren't doing squat, so it doesn't really matter if they're there or not.

But no, go on, continue to prove that you're a delusional illiterate dipstick.

Let me guess, you think the Seahawks defense sucks too huh? You probably don't think they are in the top half of the league defensively do you. Funny thing is, they would be ranked higher if they had an offense that could sustain a drive. And, as you said, the Titans are bi-polar, and Greenbay only put 30 up on them too, I guess Greenbay sucks!

So, they put up points on other teams with above average defenses on the road, and both the Browns and Steelers have top 10 defenses statistically speaking. So, the Texans still held a team that can score points even against teams with good defenses.... and the Texans held them to 3 second half points.

Is that what I said? Not at all, I simply said the Texans showed they COULD hold those teams, they just made some mistakes at the end of the game and gave up some big plays, same story with both of those games. They weren't sustained drives, they were big plays. The defense has gotten better as the season has gone on. And, like I said, I didn't say they were the best defense, but they are arguably a top 10, and I really can't understand how you can argue otherwise. I guess you would also argue that the Steelers defense isn't any good either because they gave up 34 points to the Ravens? Weird, the Texans didn't even give up that many points....

Why does it seem like every single one of your posts consists of some sort of personal attack? Are you literally unable to discuss something without trying to degrade the people you are conversing with? Do you do this in your personal life as well or only on the internet where you can remain anonymous?

Sorry, I may have not fully understood your point, it happens from time to time. The reason the Texans have been losing the past couple of years is because they had no defense, just like last year. They had a top 10 offense, but the worst defense. Now, the defense is much better with MANY NEW PLAYERS and the return of many injured players, and team is doing a lot better. Our offensive stats have taken a hit POST Schaub, but the defense is allowing the team to stay competitive. Last year, without 30 points a game from the offense, the team wouldn't have a chance, this year the defense is much better which has allowed them to keep winning despite missing your three best offensive players for times throughout this season.

And, to be perfectly honest, you said the team has the same people, but your are wrong no matter how you slice it. Ben Tate, Jonathan Joseph, Daniel Manning, Conner Barwin, Demeco Ryans, Brian Cushing, and many more were either hurt or not with the team last year.... they are this year....

Seriously, I hope you don't treat everyone like your treat people on the internet, what a miserable person to be around if you do.
