That's a great argument as to why we should get Adrian Peterson. AP is helping them win games. CJ, when he got to 2000, got it because Jeff Fisher forcefed him the ball, even in garbage time. AP's team will have a much more positive outcome than the Titans did in 2009.

AP is worlds ahead CJ in every category besides straight line speed... Even after his season ending surgery.

Yes, but many of us refuse to admit it. You see, once certain fans turn on a player, most of them will never admit they were wrong no matter what that player does. Therefore, they'll say things like, "Take away the long runs runs" as if for some reason CJ doesn't deserve to have his long runs counted like every other RB. We have a hall of fame RB, but because some fans pride won't allow them to admit they were wrong about him, there will always be a decent percentage of Titans fans who will hate on him regardless, and whether they're willing to admit it or not many of them secretly root against him production-wise. Pride is a muhfugga for some people.

Peterson is a great RB (the best in fact) , but he is, and always has been horrible in pass protection and crappy as a receiver. Don't forget that this is the first season the Vikings have actually trusted AP to stay on the filed on 3rd downs consistently. CJ is considerably better at blitz pickup than Peterson.

    Pass protection - CJ>AP
Receiving - CJ>AP (Neither are very good really)

He earned every long run he ever got. Unfortunate timing that he always lights it up after the season is lost, and has been awful for the first half of the season for the last two years. And by the 2nd half of the season.. we're already done for.

True, but everyone deserves blame for the overall lack of success of the team. Mainly, the coaches and players who aren't playing well, yet many Titans fans will blame the only star player on the team for not leading us to victory while his teammates play like crap.

I think we keep CJ mainly to lure free agents in with. And not like we're hurting for money either.

Even though I don't care much for the part-time Superstar, others might like to get the chance to work with a big name RB like CJ.

So i guess this is the third season in a row that CJ will go get really fat during the off season and slim down and get fast again around week 9... once we are 3-6 like always. 2013 will look alot like the past few seasons

Shonn Greene would be a great pick up to complement CJ and go with something like a 55-45 split like we did with LenDale White.
