Didn't the Titans agree to readdress his contract this year if he would sign his deal last year due to the restrictions on contracts?

Why is it OK for a team to cut a player not performing up to their contract, but it's not OK for a player to hold out for a better contract when they are outperforming the one they have?

 

1. I don't know, but I hope CJ got it in writing cause not many people left who might remember it.

2. Players are rarely cut because of contract issues, usually someone better available, Brutal sport in that way. I would like to see some sort of base salary gurantee.

If you are going to call CJ a "liar punk" for holding out, then you better be willing to levy that exact same criticism on every single front office in the NFL because they all fail to hold up their end of contracts many times every season. Contracts in the football world don't work like normal contracts and it's foolish to pretend they do. Teams cut players early and players hold out. That's how the system works. No one is a liar or a punk for trying to get what they believe is fair compensation for their work.

 

The best tacklers in the NFL have trouble tackling CJ. Hope is awful.
