I said he would get 1750 before the season started.

    ... Minimum of 1500.

I really hope he doesn't get 2000 again, he's gonna want more money than Tom Brady if he does and we're probably not gonna give it to him.

if he gets 2000 again he should be the highest paid player in the NFL and hes worth every penny.

Basically. If he rushes for anything close to 2,000 yards with defense hellbent on stopping him like they are this year, he should be in the top five payed players in the league.

I don't want him to get 2,000 again. That would mean that we're way, way too one sided. No balance whatsoever... 2k for CJ again would probably make us a 9-7 team or a 10-6, one and done playoff team.

What I would like to see is VY (at the end of the season) with stats like:

    3,000 passing yds
    22 TDs, 8 INTs
    QB rating: 95

If Vince plays like he has been (minus Steelers game), we will be nearly impossible to beat... assuming we stay healthy.

Not saying he wouldn't deserve it. I don't think our FO would give it to him though, especially if he gets another 350+ touches this year.

I think 1500 is reasonable- probably somewhere between that and 2000. I don't think he'll get as many carries down the stretch if we are a playoff team. If it looks like we're heading to the playoffs there won't be a push for 2000 because we need his legs "rested" for a strong playoff run. But if the season starts to tank look for his total to get closer to 2000. He got 2000 because once it was clear we weren't going to get there THAT became the goal of the offense.

Difference is- he was averaging 1.7 more yards per carry last year.

    It's not happening folks. Sorry...

though it's actually for the best that it doesn't. Last thing we need is for this diva to start feeling himself again this offseason.

That is true, but let's be honest, if not for the Texans game when he averaged over 12 YPC, it would have been much lower.

He only had one 100 yard game through the first five games last year, he's got three so far this year.
