he has what it takes, the only reason why he wouldnt live up to the hype would be the OL and blockers.
Give him some starting room and he will do the rest.

 

Or injuries. Or becoming scared of big hits. Lots of things can happen. The best back in the NFL now is one that'll probably have a career less than 10 years.

 

He can either be a Westbrook or a Bush. Lets hope for Westbrook.

 

He can be better than Westbrook. He's bigger, faster, and I bet think he will be better through the tackles. And CJ is not Bush. He's hungry, driven, not from USC, faster, bigger, and smarter.

 

What about the 50 other speedy backs who barely had careers at all? Why do you assume he is at least as good as bush?

 

If CJ was just a speed back then he wouldn't have been a 1st round pick.

 

once teams realize all he has is speed they'll catch on. like i've said all along, i hope im wrong, but im not.

 

like felix jones, reggie bush, michael bennett and trung canidate?

seems like it happens every draft. someone runs a fast 40 and some team falls in love with the guy and over-drafts him.

i would have been ok with the pick in the second round, but we drafted a guy who isn't capable of carrying the ball 300 times a year if white goes down with an injury(which looks likely at this point).

 

He's not just fast, he lead the NCAA last year in all purpose yards.

thats means he can catch and has great vision, he can turn on a dime and cause defenders to miss tackles. He is like a 6 foot bucket of lard on the field.

 

Well Jones and Bush are already better than the last 2. Jones faired well against the SEC his collegiate career and Bush has been okay.
