    Sounds bitter. Clemens would have been the top player on the team at the time, and no doubt would have been consulted prior to his firing. Cito probably felt Clemens did not have his back, and contributed to his firing by not fighting for him, and there it goes. To me it as simple as that. No doubt players like Lebron and Jordan get consulted too on their coaches. Sometimes you defend them, sometimes you can't. That's how I see this having played out.
