You homers are funny....Kerry Collins and Jeff Fisher are responsible for all loses, but CJ or anyone else just played their hearts out. Dummys.

Get a grip people, be objective and open your eyes.

BTW....I call you homers, I actually live here in the Nashville area too.

So you expect him to break the all time rushing record by 300 yards? & break the all time touchdown in a season record? All while the other teams are putting 8 or 9 in the box which is the ONLY rb in the nfl that gets 8 to 9 in the box for most of the game while 95% of the play calls are right up the middle into the 9 guys? Put any other RB in the situation Johnson is in aside from maybe AP and they would not match up with as good production.

I wasn't on the "pay him" bandwagon either, but it isn't all his fault. Our run blocking went from top notch to below average.

Eight and nine in the box is a weak argument. It's nothing new to the Titans. It's no different than last season.

He does dance a bit too much because while he's elusive, he doesn't break tackles all that well. This is why Ringer looks like such a great change of pace at times. He has fresh legs and he picks a hole and darts through it. If someone gets a hand on him, he drives through it instead of getting tripped up like a gazelle.

Still, CJ isn't running different than he did last season, which actually surprises me. It surprises me almost as how much our O-Line has regressed.

Please don't criticize the players on our team who are actually good at what they do. Don't expect him to run over people either, the oline should do it for him.

I like CJ, but I really don't agree when people are saying he hasn't taken a step back this year. He's not nearly explosive as he was last year, I really don't think you can argue that at this point, hopefully the bye week helps him, and the oline out a bit.

But on the bright side, even though CJ isn't playing as well as we'd hope, the passing game is making great leaps, and if we can get everyone healthy, and have pass blocking like we did today, it could be real nice.

Instead of saying "He's 2nd in rushing yards" let's look at something that tells a more telling story with RBs...

Where is he in YPC vs other backs with similar carries?

I don't know if he's hurt, out of shape, or what... but he's slow now. He used to amaze you by beating guys that looked as if they had the angle on him. Now those guys catch him from behind.

He's 29th as of right now, last year he was 1st, or 2nd throughout the entire season behind only Jamal Charles.

If you only count people with over 100 carries then he's like 11th this year at 4.1 YPC out of 17 players with over 100 carries. I don't think you can count people with half the carries. But yea that's a big change from last year. 4.1 now and this time last year he was around 5.5 I think.

I seriously doubt he's 29th in YPC unless you're counting people like the Browns punter who have one rush for 60 yards.

He has a higher YPC average than MJD, Ray Rice, Matt Forte, and Steven Jackson.

Quit asking him to walk on water. He's never going to have a year like last year, so stop expecting it.

Had to come back for more. Now I'm done! :grrhee:

11th still isn't great, for a guy who is supposed to be the best back in the league.

He's 29th for people that have had 50+ carries, which in my opinion is a pretty fair sample size. And I'm not thrashing CJ, I was just saying.
