If he really sits out is it a do or die year for Fisher?

If we're good without CJ the CJ loses all his bargaining power. It could be career suicide if CJ really sits out the season.

I think CJ likes the attention and spot light to much to set out and let Ringer/Blount have the show.

At very worst AP is 1.B, plus you have to look at it from the Vikings point of view. They already have AP for another 3 years with no problem, they can likely resign him for cheap after that if they want to, because he will be on the decline. If they trade AP for CJ then they have to deal with throwing even more money at CJ than they did at AP to make him happy, why would they do that for a back that is slighty if any better? I only say if any better, because AP has been more consistent, and has done it on a team that is less catered to producing a great RB like the Titans are. It doesn't make sense for the Vikings.

courtney roby, calico, brandon jones etc were all smaller speedier WRs (aka not blockers), we didnt bring in nate washington to block, we brought in justin gage cuz we seek out mediocrity in the off season, we didnt draft britt in the first round to block, he was the 5th WR taken so he prolly wasnt even #1 on our list.

as for FBs, yea we go for blocking FBs like every other team

as for TEs, yea we drafted one blockin TE. TEs line up with the Oline and are pretty key in counters and sweeps.

as for not playing playmakers, i assume your sole example is sittin the rookie jared cook, behind 2 veteran TEs. Thats like fisherball 101. Veterans are gunna play, even if younger, more talented players are on the depth chart.

pretty sweet system we have in place getting a "good" RB 5.6 YPC on 350 attempts

How has AP been more consistent?... Consistent at fumbling? Yes. But more consistent than CJ? I don't think you can say that.

Less catered to producing a great RB?... Besides Eddie and CJ, where are our "great" running backs? Don't try to include Earl Campbell. That was ages ago.

FYI the Vikings have had a damn fine O-Line for quite some time now. If CJ went there, they'd have the same, if not more success... he offers much more speed and rarely fumbles although he lacks the size and ability to break tackles like AP has. And, like I said before, AP is a fumble machine!

I know the trade won't happen, but if the Titans told the Vikings they'd give 'em CJ for AP, they wouldn't say "GTFO." They'd consider it.

Actually we did bring Washington because he blocks. Watch highlights- MANY times on CJ runs Washington is sealing someone off or knocking someone off their feet.
The main reason we got him was due to speed, but we probably wouldn't have gotten him if he couldn't block. And he does block, very well.

Crumpler, Gage, Washington, Britt, Stevens, etc all were acquired with blocking being a strength.

Look at most CJ's big runs where he pads that YPC stat. Everyone's sealed.

Kenny Britt can actually use more than 2 syllable words. I wouldn't bet the same for CJ.
I can listen to Britt speak and believe he went to college. I hear CJ talk and wonder how he made it through grade-school.

Well if the line was what made CJ so great why didn't Lendale get his yards when he got the ball!!
