He makes $20,000,000 plus a year. Why would he?
lol the media asks him about Bolt, then he answers, now he's all about himself. That makes sense.
Chris: Shut up. You just came off of your most disappointing season. Maybe you can take up track after football, because you'll be out of the league in a few years at this rate. Might as well fall down at the first sign of contact, need to keep those legs fresh for 2016.
The person who made that comment wasn't specifically talking about the Bolt comment but his overall perception based on everything CJ has been asked throughout his career.
And I can't say I disagree. He's never come off as a team-first guy.
1. CJ that ran a 4.24 could beat Bolt in the 40.
2. No form of CJ could ever beat Bolt in the 100 or 200.
3. I'd just like to see him look noticeably faster than Javon Ringer again.
best tweet I've seen so far on the subject:
"Chris Johnson thinks he can beat Usain Bolt in a race. Thing is, Bolt runs the 100m in 9.58 seconds... it takes CJ 10 games to get that far."
I think the line between Chris Johnson and Chad Johnson is a lot narrower than many of us like to think. I don't see him ever making a sacrifice for this team. He's a me-first guy and guys like that never change.
I want to see the CJ 4.4 guy. He looked like a 4.6 player one year ago. I do think he bounces back and this staff is trying to get him the ball in space (brian westbrook) than the fisher staff. Had fisher stayed CJ wouldnt have lasted 3 more years running up the gut.
You guys never cease to amaze me. The media asks him these questions. It's not like he calls a press conference to announce it. Use your brain people.
I don't have a problem with him saying this because it's probably true. Bolt doesn't have that immediate burst. He takes a while to get going.
