Chris Johnson, Pacman Jones good friends

    CINCINNATI Immediately after Saturday night’s preseason contest, three first-round picks of the Titans met on the field here at Paul Brown Stadium.

    Running back Chris Johnson and receiver Kenny Britt joked with cornerback Pacman Jones, who’s in his fourth season with the Bengals.

    Johnson said he’s actually good friends with Jones, a first-round pick of the Titans in 2005 who was eventually traded away from Tennessee following a series of off-field incidents. After the game, Johnson gave Jones credit for making sure he stayed on the right path when the Titans picked him in 2008.

    “Pac, he is a real close friend of mine,’’ Johnson said. “When I first got (to Nashville) he was one of the first guys to reach out to me to let me know what type of city it was and the type of things to do to really stay out of trouble.

    “Ever since I got to Tennessee he’s been a close friend of mine.”
