Chris Henry fumbles the ball

yeah. I cant even think of how that could have happened.

 

did Kearse hit it from him? or did he never have possesion of it?

Anyway, its only one play, but hopefully he secures the ball a little better in the future. If he makes a habit of this, all he is doing is hurting his chances of PT during the season.

 

There were no fumbles from CHen last season, unlike White and Brown. I recall both of those guys fumbling in close games though!
Whatever role he plays next season... he will show his worth. Don't count him out yet!!!

 

he only had 50 touches rushing/receiving/special teams. It's not fumbles that concern me. It's his tendency to plow right into OT's, DE's, and LB's...:spud:

bb, I really do hope he shows his worth somehow, but it all starts in camp. If by the end of the mini-camps, otas, and training camp he shows the same inconsistency he did last year, he won't have a chance to show his worth in other than special teams. He won't get cut, but he won't have any playing time.

 

And thus will follow the fumbles.

I find it funny that everyone is talking about fumbles from a guy who has never once put the ball on the ground.

The picture's caption suggests that Henry fumbled; however, the play in question was apparently shown during OTA footage on a Nashville news station, and the fumble was actually a botched QB/RB exchange. Without seeing the footage, it's impossible to tell exactly what happened.

But where's the fun in that? It's much more fun to bash him for his shortcomings and write him off as a bust.

I would remind you that Henry had one of the highest TD's-to-carries ratios in the league last year. (One TD for every fifteen rushing attempts...quite remarkable for a guy who isn't a goal-line specialist).

He was also highly effective in the passing game, demonstrating skills both as a receiver and in pass protection.

The guy may not be an every-down bellcow RB, but he clearly has value. But then, that's not nearly as much fun to talk about.
