Millions of dollars less than what most 1-3 round draft picks get. Your RBs ran for about 200 more yards than us last year btw. This with RON DAYNE as our leading back, and before Alex Gibbs. Dayne is still on the street right now btw. Texans running game will most definitely be improved no matter who is running it imo. Green, Slaton, Taylor, Brown, Bell, or even Darius Walker. I also think the Titans running game will improve with Johnson now in tow.

So, Texxan, what do you think of Green? Do you think he can be your feature back or was he just a waste of money?

He is 100% healthy and clearly the starter right now and is showing it in camp. And to answer your question...heck yeah he can be our feature back... as long as he stays healthy. Before he hurt his knee last year he was at over 4.6 ypc. So the answer is yes.... especially behind an improve line. The real question is will he stay healthy.

And about the money.. if we cut him after this year we wont see much against our cap lingering in the future. So no real risk from the beginning.

But that was 2 games. That's a small sample size. And it was against KC was ended up 28th in run defense and Carolina who was 18th. And the main question is whether he can stay healthy.

Hmm... sounds like a good idea to me. I'm a little surprised you all did not go for Turner.

Green was 100% going into last season too. In fact, I had posted an article on another message board (TT) that they were actually saying he was in the best shape of his entire career *roll eyes*. How's that work out for us?? Not so much!!!

The Texans got nearly 800 yards out of Ron Dayne and Darius Walker contributed in the last 4 games with 264 yards or 4.6 YPC.

Until the Texans draft or trade for a quality RB, we will be running back by committee. Currently, I think we have 6 in camp. Same as last year. Ironically it Darius Walker was the 6th on the depth chart and was cut. He was only signed after Green was gone and Dayne was nicked up...

BTW, how did that Mike Williams thing work out for your receivers??? Oh wait........ j/k

Yeah, I think you will be a RBBC. BTW, we had almost nothing commited to MW. So, we could cut him without any problems if he didn't produce (which is what happened.) I don't see the point in bringing him up.

Might be because the Texans have nothing but ? at RB and might end up cutting Brown and that the Titans have nothing but ? at WR and just cut what's his name. To go even further the Texans are counting on a one legged Green, that is looking good in camp and the Titans are counting on a one legged Crumpler, who is looking good in camp. At least Koobs has been talking down Brown while Fisher was talking up what's his name. Makes you wonder who else Fisher is being less than honest about.

I've been to camp this year, and Crumpler has TWO very good legs. Forget what Fisher says about him, Hoffa says Crumpler is looking solid...:))

Crump has been durable his whole career. Brown is a limping bandaid. Green isn't exactly durable either. Crump also is not missing practices, which is why Brown is getting scorn from Koobs.
