Charlie Whitehurst Should be Backup to Mariota

everyone knew by November get real liquored up in the 1st quarter so by the end of the game its all pretty much a blur...

That way by March or April you're like damn I need to see the Titans. Surely all the fresh Spring air, bright sunshine, and birds tweeting outside means the Titans are going to be good again.

Crazy talk. Get Mett reps. This was his first game in a while. And he mostly played OK. HE had a bonehead pick at the worst time but nothing that Mariota hasn't done.

Y'all quit acting like Mett is the worst thing ever. Mett is no threat to Mariota but he IS better than Whitehurst.

They keep stats on bonehead WRs drops and blown assignments and factor those out? Didn't think so. Our WRs except KW) were chit yesterday. You are grossly biased against Mett, the same manner you were grossly biased for Locker.

Im not sure you w as tched the game man. He was throwing the ball very inaccurately. Yes there were some drops, which isn't on him. But he knows who he's throwing to before the snap and still misses. Multiple times he threw the ball to the wrong guy. He just flings the ball with all his might every single time. Overall our recievers played well. They were getting open and catching bad throws. He is not better tgan Whitehurst. Atl tried there best to hand us this game and mett couldn't get it done. I know there's no way to prove it, but imo if mm plays yesterday we win by 10+ points. Go back and watch mett again man, he is a one read qb, that wouldn't even be a top 5 qb in college this year. Mm is miles ahead of him with less than half tge time in the league.

And don't misunderstand me- Mariota is the future. But playing Mett, regardless of the outcome was the right choice. Mariota would have won or tied that game? Uh no. Mariota didn't get it done in the same fashion in the Bills game.

You're right- I just saw clips of Mett. I didn't watch the whole game. But I've seen Mett make accurate throws in other games. I'm sure he was rusty. I just don't get all the Mett hate. He isn't a threat to Mariota. And saying that playing Mariota on a sprained ligament was a better choice AFTER the game is the ultimate example of bias.
