Teams are selling out to stop CJ and leaving Young one on one's. Young is throwing the deep ball very well right now. Let them stop CJ.

However, barring something catastrophic happening to Harper, I think this is going to be a rough game for us. Someone needs to Tonya Harding his . It's bad enough that they have this crazy mismatch with Gates after we lose Bulluck and Thornton. If we win this game, we win in a shootout.

You win an internet cookie for that statement.

My fav part about that was the fact that he kinda "slides to a stop" trying to avoid Vince. I think he was having a "WTF!?" moment....then got drilled by the guy he picked off.......that's a instant football classic moment imo.

Slow start nothing. It's more like someone being declared "dead at the scene" and being revitalized by a defib.

it's not going to snow, according to the weatherbug on my phone, it's going to rain 100% on Thursday and do nothing on Friday.

I like our chances against them this Friday. The last thing I vaguely remember about our 2007 match-ups vs. them was that Vince was alone on offense, and L.T. WAS good. If I'm right we were missing 2 out of 3 of our starting WR's, and were still able to compete with L.T. and Gates. Now our offense is twice as potent, and while our defense has taken a step or two backwards since 2007, theirs has too. I think we will match-up good enough defensively to hang in there til Vince and C.J. can do their thing. If we don't turn the ball over we'll win this game.

while that may be true he is often stopped for no or minimal gain between the tackles where he has a greater percentage of success when he gets outside whether it's a pitch or a sweep. I don't have any actual data to support that. It just seems true enough to me.

I'll take a stab at that question. It might have something to do with having more athleticism on the right end and left end of the line with Michael Roos and David Stewart. Also aren't they better at run blocking than pass blocking?

The right tackle is usually the better of the two at run blocking, whereas left tackles protect the QB's blind side so they're forced to be great pass blockers or else. But in our case, both our tackles get paid to do both run and pass block at an All-Pro level every snap.

I say our biggest problem with San Diego is gonna be our pass D.and our lack of an effective pass rush.
