Title is very misleading. Nothing suggests he'll be released. I think he sticks.

I believe Chris Johnson can be a valuable runningback. However, he's not very logical on the Titans. We're years away before we can contend. How many more years does CJ have, 2 or 3 I'd say. He's got 1,463 carries under his belt (around 300/yr, not that bad).... but is 27. It's been shown multiple times, once they hit 30, careers likely done. Especially for a speed back, his speed will fade. You'd be silly to say that CJ is still a 100 madden speed (yeah I went there). He's still VERY fast don't get me wrong, but he's not the same 21 year old kid who can run a 4.24 40. By the time the Titans are good again, his career will be over.

Regardless, if CJ stays a Titan.. i'll root for him. But are we really going to pay this guy 51 mil over the next 5 years? I'm truly against paying a runningback elite money, unless they're Adrian Peterson.

I doubt he gets cut though.
