The difference between drafting a 1st round player and signing a veteran. Based on that players contract and performance. Since Hope has been a great signing and Griffin showed flashes as a rookie.

lol @ those who think Carson Palmer is weak. Downright hilarious actually. Same guy who had a major ACL/MCL blow out in the playoffs and went on to be the Pro Bowl MVP the very next season. hardy har..
Chad would have had FAR more yards these past 2 seasons had he not continuously run incorrect routes and hi-tailed it out of bounds at the thought of hearing footsteps..

i don't think anyone is saying palmer is weak. just that chad johnson was already one of the best before palmer was given the job.

If they didn't take that deal from the Redskins nobody is getting this guy. Chad is staying in Cinci like it or not. Sucks for him.

He's not going anywhere, the coach has mad that clear. He'll just sit out the season, because I think Marvin Lewis is sticking to his guns here.

TJ said he thought Chad would play if he wasn't traded. I don't see him sitting it out anyway..

Wow, they're serious. This is a classic example of a team taking it on the nose because the principle is important enough for the teams as a whole. Players shouldn't be allowed to whine their way out of contracts, which is all that this is. I'm amazed that they got that offer, and probably would have been weak and traded him. But the point is that Chad Johnson shouldn't be more important that his team, and if he has to sit on the bench or retire, it's an important point for the teams to make, even if it costs them.

The Bengals are not very bright IMO.That's the kind of action the Chiefs are seeking for Allen because it can help rebuild a franchise.

Ocho isn't irreplaceable. They should have bitten the Skins hand off for a 1st & a 3rd that could escalate to two 1sts.
