Chad/Albert to be cut from Pats?

I think it's just theoretical. I doubt the Pats would cut two of their biggest acquisitions in free agency.

 

No way are they cutting Ochocinco...they are already into him for about 85% of his first year's salary. They would have never had signed him in this manner if they weren't planning to keep him.

Big Al is another story. Kudos to Belicheat for not guaranteeing anything with him...only way to get him to actually do something. Whether he has any gas left will be interesting to see.

 

Big Al will end up cut, or riding the bench by the end of the year. Ocho will probably be good though.

 

Nothing is guaranteed until Week 1, just saying.

 

Albert only makes $1.5M this year but would make $6.7M next year in salary and would get another $400,000 in a roster bonus if they keep him to that point.

So yeah the Pats have nothing to lose and he should be motivated to play this year to get the $7M+ and then next year because he'll again be an UFA.
