Exactly. But he should be. Again, he either doesnt get it, or he doesnt care. And your above statement is exactly what I am saying.

Jones has made his bed, let him lay in it..if he gets kicked out of the NFL it is his fault and no one else's.

you have folks on here who see no problem with what Jones is doing and you have folks on here who see a problem with what Jones is doing. No one is going to change their mind on him. You either like him or you don't, pretty simple isn't it.

You missed the rest of my argument. If he's doing nothing wrong, how is that not a step in the right direction? I'd rather see him learn how to handle himself in public than try to avoid the public eye altogether, because we all know that won't happen with today's media.

how far out of his way do you think he had to go? I have a feeling the media people were crawling around him and all he had to do was not turn them away.

    Yes. So what?

It really doesn't matter what he does or doesn't do as long as he doesn't get arrested or publicy embarrass the league. In this instance, he didn't embarrass the league by being at a boxing match.

It is ridiculous to suggest he should limit his legal social activity to only "positive image" things. He's tried positive stuff in the past and the Tennessean NEVER runs as many stories about his REGULAR visits to schools to encourage kids to stay in school, NEVER runs stories about him being an honor student in high school and college. Hate sells more than love, especially around here.

Bottom line is this. He decides whether or not he is going to stay out the trouble. He can only limit the media fodder to a small degree, but don't ever expect him to play positively to the media. He won't ever be embraced by the Nashville community unless he decides to the play the BS "image" game. There is nothing about Pac that I've seen that says he will ever do that. Doesn't necessarily mean he is stupid, just not going to do it. As long as he stays legal, he can go to another less judgemental city, make incredible plays for them and be well received. That's probably what's gonna happen. Too bad in my book.

I didnt say he should limit his social activities to anything, and quite clearly said I have no issue with him being at the boxing match at all. My issue was with him feeling the need to give the interview. He, nor any of us, have any right to get mad at the media for running a story on him if it if Pac going out of the way to keep his name in the media.

A less judgemental city than Nashville? You realize Nashville sports media and media in general is considered to be a cake walk for players and celebrities. This isnt a tough city. If he cant cut it here, Im not sure there is a city in the league he can cut it in.
