I understand that if you leave over 10 million of cap room in Buds purse for two years running, that could have been spent on a WR, you're cheap.

Same goes to old Bob. With cap space left to spare and a mediocre team, he must be cheap.

You are talking about the heart and soul of this defense. Bulluck should have went to the pro bowl. He never misses a game and never comes off the field. He is a FA next year so why not make an extra year committment to him?

Thank you! Some posters seem to have the mistaken impression that we suck. We were the best team in football and blew it!

Hate to admit it, but Overalls is right.

I think the franchise, the fans, and the city are suffering from post-cap purge depression syndrome. So much fear of repeating the cap problems of the past.

Also just wondering, but has there been any resolution to the collective bargaining agreement? If not, is 2010 still scheduled to be an uncapped year?

BS. KB is an O G. Give him a 4 year extension and the opportunity to retire a Titan with a ring. He deserves it, he's fought thru some hard years as a Titan and he fights hard every play, week in week out. Im pro-Keith Bulluck all the way

Reinfeldt has said his goal is to have some cap money available each season for injuries. A few years back when the Titans were hitting the ceiling with the cap, they had nothing to replace guys who went down that season.

It also gives the team some options if they want to extend a player like a Finnegan, Roos or Stewart which they did last year.

Well Simple Jack it's the moneyball approach. It can be frustrating at times but it seems to work a lot better than the Texans approach to free agency, signing losers like Brown and Green.

    "huge backloaded contract"

Who has talked about that? Just a 1-2 year extension that's all and for comparable money he is making now.

no. You just have no idea what you are talking about. Please refer to post #27. Also salary cap is a numbers game designed to be a competition equalizer. The Tennessee Titans had the best record in the entire nfl for the 2008 season and managed to garner a play-off spot as a wild card after the 2007 season. That's 24-8 in a two year period. You say that Bud Adams is "cheap" because the Titans front office, meaning Mike Reinfeldt, didn't over extend the Titans cap. Well I say that's just the Reinfeldt strategy. Besides, if what you say were true, which it isn't, because cap figures aren't really actual money, but if they were, and what you were saying had an ounce of substance, wouldn't that make the Bud Adams incredibly efficient given over a two year period the team won so many games? Wouldn't it stand to reason that the Texans should be "10 million dollars better" than the Titans, whatever the hell that means?

    :ha: *laughing in your face*
