The reason though that most mobile QB's don't win the SB is because the strategy behend the mobile QB is different. For example, let's take the passing QB's. What do they all have in common? A go to WR, a steady RB, a good OL, and a defense that can keep them in the game. Now let's apply this to the Titans... A defense to keep them in the game, a decent RB, but what's missing? A go to WR nothing that a 1st round pick, big FA pickup, or trade won't fix. Now a mobile QB that comes in mind to me is McNabb. He's led his team to be an NFC power house for a few years including a SB appearance. His team included everything that was included above.

Bottomline: Get a WR who can catch the dang ball!

We will win a Super Bowl with Vince Young at QB. He is young and will learn. He has the talent. Now he just needs experience and some talent surrounding him.

I especially love the post trying to compare Vince with some of the greatest QBs of all time in their first years. I will concede that he is not one of the greatest passing QBs of all time. He probably won't compare with Joe Montana and Peyton Manning statistically--but he will win. You will also notice that all of those QBs named had hall of fame (or at least pro bowl receivers). We have guys that got cut from non-playoff teams.

McNair did it with a group of veterans...Young will do it as well.. I, unlike many, will not lose hope on Vince this early, and during the off-season. ;)

Vince can lead them he just needs talent around him. It's going to be at least one more year though. New OC, definite reconstruction around the players around him, and were just not at the elite status yet. Oh also that team in New England.

Obviously the team needs to upgrade it's talent level to make a run at the SB. That is a no brainer. The problem is can VY take us there. IMO the only way VY can be a Montana or S. Young, a Manning or Brady and be a main cog in taking this team to the promised land instead of just a guy who takes snaps who hopefully doesn't make mistakes, VY needs to grow up big time as a player. Can he do it, maybe. Like it or not VY has got to become a better pocket passer. His running skills alone will not get it done IMO.

If he throws twice as many INT's this year with no talent around him and a great defense and go to the playoffs. Imagine him with WR's, the same defense, and healthy legs. Some how though I bet ESPN, CBS, etc. won't give us a chance. Sort of getting used to it though.

I'm already so excited about next year! Young out of sophmore slump, draft well, new WR's, and new exciting offense.
