In the video you posted, DGB quit on the route right before the ball arrived. I watched the replay of it 3 times. That's what happened.
Later in the season MM dropped a dime down the left sideline and either Hunter or Douglas (I can't remember which) ran the wrong route and FUBARed the play.

Crap happens when you have crap receivers.
Before the season everyone in Titans' nation talked about the receiving corps being weak. Mularkey is still talking about it.

But with you guys, it's all because of Mariota.
Mett looked good at LSU throwing to OBJ and Landry, but not so good throwing to Hunter, Douglas and Wright.
Gee, I wonder why?

 

Well, get used to it because all of the WRs are back. I guess we'll have to run everything within five yards of LOS again.

 

Mariota has a noodle arm, it is impossible for a noodle arm to ever throw a good deep ball. And the deep ball is the most important thing in football.

No one is saying he can't get better at it, he just wasn't very good at it last year and didn't need to fit the ball into tight spaces at Oregon.

It's not like we're trashing him as a player. He just has areas he needs to improve on, which is expected of a QB who has played 12 whole NFL games.
