Maybe the Dolphins will try to right the ship after the Pat White dilemma.

Pat Forde said on ESPN this morning that the FBI is involved in the investigation. If Cam Newton or his family received money the FBI will find it one way or another.

this isn't even a SEC bashing thread. Sure, the SEC is complicit in covering up this conspiracy... but this is mainly about Cam Newton, who happens be an SEC athlete.

Yeah, but even Pat White could throw a little.

Cam Newton makes Tim Tebow look like Peyton Manning.

Very little of what Newton does at QB translates into the NFL. He could be a project at RB or WR.

As far as this whole situation goes, it's unfortunate that guys are still taking money for whatever reason. But like the title says where's there's smoke there's fire and I don't ever remember seeing a guy get linked to something like this and it turned out it was all false and he was 100% innocent. Newton took money, no doubt, just gotta prove it.

I think the first flame in the Cam Newton series has shown its firey self.

The article goes on to say:

So the school has to suspend Cam Newton? How much integrity does Auburn have? Will they? Won't they? That's kind of bogus because if Auburn rigs the investigation, they can justify not suspending him. Am I reading this wrong?

Also isnt Cam Newton distancing himself from his father by taking the stance of: "My father is one who picked my school" thus potentially putting himself in the position to say he knew nothing and it was all his dads doings?

That doesn't matter. It's the same thing as Reggie Bush's parents getting a house. Just because the student doesn't directly receive the benefits it's still a violation.

    I also don't think that "I didn't know" is a viable defense...
