Titans running back Chris Johnson couldn’t find any running room this season, but one thing he never lost – his confidence.

Johnson said so himself on Thursday.

“I was always confident,’’ he said.

After running for 24 yards or less in four of the first five games of the season, Johnson has 90 yards or more in five of the last six games, including three games of 140-plus rushing yards. He has touchdown runs of 80-plus yards in two of the last three games.

“I am sure I answered some questions,’’ Johnson said. “Earlier a lot of people thought I wasn’t playing hard or just got the big (contract) and gave up or lost a couple of steps or things like that. If you have been paying attention, you know all of those are false.”

I dont know if a lot of people we saying he wasnt trying hard. I think he was being doubted, and still is for his ability to spot the hole and courage to head to it.

This season has been way too much about CJ. Do you guys think we will cut ties at the end of the year or keep him and pay him that part of his contract. I don't know too much details but I hear 3HL (Travis) always saying the Titans would be dumb to keep him for all that money.

    Jesus CJ... just shut up.

You haven't proven anyone wrong. You signed a historic deal for a RB and are paid as if you are not only the best RB in the league, but an elite player and playmaker altogether.

I'm happy with his performance over the past month, but this is how he should be playing EVERY game... hope it continues, but there's no reason for him to be saying this crap.

CJ had 142 against the Texans, very few coming in garbage time. CJ had 91 against the Steelers, none of which came in garbage time. He had 99 against the Colts, none of which came in garbage. And outside of the 80 yarder against the Bears, 60 came during the course of the game.
